Jodhpur. A few people who knew their own streets well enough to know who was moving, who was selling, and who needed a place. They did the work between them and split what came of it, because that was the only arrangement any of them thought was fair.
That is still the whole arrangement. It just reaches a great deal further now.

What they had was a neighbourhood and a phone. Here that is a beginning rather than an apology.

Look at any city here and you are looking at lakhs of households. Every one of them is someone's neighbour, someone's customer, someone's cousin who mentioned they were moving.
When work comes to one of us, it does not stop with one of us. It reaches the person who brought it, and the people who carried it, and the wider circle that keeps the whole thing standing. That is not generosity. It is just how the arrangement is built.

A deal closes in one street and what it earns does not stay in that street. It travels back along the line of people who made it possible — the one who first mentioned the name, the one who showed the place, the ones who stood behind them.
Fixed when the deal is struck, not argued over afterwards.

It is not glamorous work and it does not need to be. It needs to be done honestly, by someone who knows the area.

None of them needed a degree, an office, or money to put in. They needed somebody already inside to say: I know this person, and I will stand behind them.

How it holds together.
Nobody walks in off the street. Every person here was recommended by someone already inside, who put their own standing behind that recommendation. It is a slower way to grow and it is the only one we trust.
Nothing is counted until it is real. Not when a paper is signed, not when a deal is announced — when the money is actually received. Until then there is nothing to share, and we do not pretend otherwise.
And when it is received, the record of who did what is permanent. Who introduced whom is remembered, and it stays remembered. That is what stops the person who did the quiet work at the start from being forgotten at the end.
To be plain about what this is not: there is nothing to invest in here, nothing to buy, and no returns to promise. You are not putting money in. You are doing work, alongside people who will vouch for you, and taking a share of what that work actually earns.
